‘Spies In Disguise’ Trailer W/ Will Smith, Tom Holland Goes Full Smith

We’re not expecting Spies in Disguise to wind up on the Academy Awards nominations for best animated film next year, but the spy feature starring Will Smith and Tom Holland looks like it will at least be fun, especially if you are a Smith fan. That’s right, this is the kind of role designed for the over-the-top actor. So, get ready for lots of Will Smith yelling and lots of Woo!

We aren’t even saying that’s a bad thing. We are saying it’s a Will Smith thing. If you aren’t familiar with the story, it is about a super spy (Smith) and a spy tech (Holland) who have to work together after Holland’s character turns Smith into a pigeon. Joining them in the film are an all-star cast including Rashida Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Reba McEntire, Rachel Brosnahan, Karen Gillan, DJ Khaled, and Masi Oka 

Super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is…not. But when events take an unexpected turn, this unlikely duo is forced to team up for the ultimate mission that will require an almost impossible disguise – transforming Lance into the brave, fierce, majestic…pigeon. Walter and Lance suddenly have to work as a team, or the whole world is in peril.
