The first trailer has dropped for Spirited, the upcoming modern musical retelling of A Christmas Carol starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell. Slated for a theatrical release on the 11th of this month followed by a jump to Apple+ on the 18th, the movie tells the story of a man who’s spirit needs saving and the one ghost of Christmas present who isn’t willing to give up on him… no matter how much of a scrooge he is.
Joining Reynolds and Ferrell in the film is Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer who actually worked with Reynolds early in both of their careers on the underrated and sadly forgotten film, The Nines.
