At 93 year’s old, Stan Lee has earned the right to kick back and relax. Let’s face it, the taxing schedule of making it out to the set of every Marvel film to shoot a cameo can be taxing, even if you haven’t been around for almost a century. Thankfully, Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios know that a movie without Stan Lee just isn’t a Marvel movie, so they’ve worked with the creator of many of Marvel’s most popular characters to ensure that he and audiences get the most bang for their buck. How? By shooting multiple cameos all on the same day. At a screening of Captain America: Civil War over the weekend, Feige told the audience about what they had been able to do.
“We do not shoot random ones. They’re always specific. A couple of months ago in Atlanta, [Lee] flew down and we shot four in one day — for four various projects. They’re all awesome! They’re all totally different. And he was unbelievable. He was on fire. He came in, he sat here, he stood there, he stood in this window, and then he went home.”
Which films were the cameos for? We have no idea, but if we had to guess, they would probably be: Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity War. Four films that could be the most creative and interesting films to hit theaters from the MCU to date.
