Mena Massoud, the star of Disney’s Live-Action Aladdin remake is either teasing an announcement, trolling Star Wars fans, or openly campaigning. The actor’s name has been rumored to be attached to the role of Ezra Bridger in upcoming Disney+ Star Wars spin-offs and Mandalorian Appearances, but There’s been no word from Disney or Lucasfilm as to whether it’s true. We didn’t get official word of Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano until just before her episode of The Mandalorian aired, but she also wasn’t posting anything this obvious on social media.

At 29-year-old, the Egyptian-Canadian actor would be the right age to play Bridger, who we last saw blasting himself and Thrawn into the outer rim at the end of Star Wars Rebels. We also know that Tano and Sabine Wren took off to find them after the destruction of the second Deathstar, five years prior to the events of Mandalorian. In Tano’s appearance on the show, she did name-drop Thrawn, so there’s a solid chance that both he and Ezra are in play. There are even some rumors that an Ezra Bridger series is in development at the streamer.

So, what is this new clue? Massoud took to Instagram with a thirsty pose and this quote from Bridger: “Hey, just so you know, when I escape I won’t hurt any of you.”
