Avatar 2 starts filming with an eye on a December 2016 release in theaters (just a few months before the new Avatar theme park opens up at Disney World). They’ve already got Sam Worthington set to return, but now they’ve got another big name set to rejoin from the original.
Variety is reporting that Stephen Lang will be coming back to reprise his role as Colonel Quaritch. This should be pretty interesting as… spoiler alert, he died in the first movie.
They haven’t revealed how they’ll bring him back… maybe he was just holding his breath. Or, more likely, he’ll be some sort of clone, probably with enhanced abilities… and an even bigger knife.
