Triple Force Friday is just a few days away and Disney is amping up the pre Rise of Skywalker marketing today with the unveiling of an all new character, Babu Frik. Hailed by fans for its cuteness, Frik is going to have to battle out for most adorable with another new character, the previously revealed D-0 Droid. One thing is for sure, he’s cute enough that Disney is not going to pass up on the merchandise opportunities. The reveal comes by way of EW, who had this to say about him:
“The character is described as a ‘tiny droidsmith’ who ‘works among the Spice Runners of Kijimi and can reprogram or modify virtually any droid, regardless of the security measures protecting its systems.’”
If you’re trying to build out your fan theories from the trailers that have been released, you can probably bet that he’s either tied directly to D-0 or he’s the reason that C3P0’s eyes turned red.
