The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have always been fairly R-Rated in the comics, but the movies and TV shows have been focused on selling toys and creating a family-friendly audience. According to the reveal at Cinemacon today, that is about to change.

During their presentation, Paramount announced that they’ll be adapting the extremely gritty Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin into an r-rated, live-action film. The script is currently being written by Tyler Burton Smith writing and Walter Hamada producing.
