Matt Reeve’s The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/ The World’s Greatest Detective officially started filming today and Reeves took to Twitter to celebrate. The celebration wasn’t just a photo of the slate for the film. It was also the first unveiling of the movie’s logo.
With a story that is reportedly inspired by Batman: The Long Halloween, the latest iteration of the Caped Crusader stars Robert Pattinson as Batman/ Bruce Wayne, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard in undisclosed roles.
The Batman lands in theaters June 25, 2021.
