The Cape, NBC’s latest attempt at capturing the super hero fan audience seems to getting ready to pull the plug after less than one complete season.
This past Monday, the first half of the season finale was slated to air in its normal slot, but it has now been announced that the season ender will not be aired in prime time. It is been relegated to the internet.
The show already had its 13 episode cut to just 10 because of poor ratings performance. Now it looks like it might be curtains for the cape.
However, you’ve got to give some credit to the PR flacks over at NBC who have tried to add some positive spin to the show’s failure with this quote:
“The creators … are prepping an exclusive episode just for online fans! Keep watching this site in the days ahead to see a full-length special episode.”
