When you look at the cast of The CW’s The Flash, musical theater isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. However, the truth is that Cisco (Jesse L. Martin) is a seasoned Broadway performer and was in Rent.
So, Along with his co-stars, Rick Cosnett and Carlos Valdes, Martin has launched a kickstarter for a musical short film called“The Letter Carrier”, about a black family hiding from slavery in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the 1860s.
Joss Whedon got wind of the project and donated a whopping $50,000 to help make it happen. So, as a thank you, the trio posted this acapella rendition of the Firefly theme, aka The Ballad of Serenity.
