Bill Skarsgård is a great actor. He had his biggest breakthrough as Pennywise in the It remake films, but he’s kept things going and has an excellent-looking film coming out soon in Boy Kills World. He also has the long-struggling remake of James O’Barr’s The Crow coming out, and that is what brings us here today. The film remake has felt cursed at times, something that makes sense if you know about the tragedy surrounding the original adaptation. Still, through many directors, different scripts, and casts that actually included Jason Momoa in the title role at one point, the movie is done, and the marketing has begun.

Will it be good? We hope so. Are fans off-base in their comparisons to this version of The Crow and Jared Leto’s Joker from the Snyderverse? Take a look and find out for yourself:

Bill Skarsgård takes on the iconic role of THE CROW in this modern reimagining of the original graphic novel by James O’Barr. Soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.
