After The last Kingsman sequel, I was honestly a little surprised that the studio thought there was enough steam left in the franchise to push forward, but they’ve got big plans for Kingsman that includes several more movies and a TV series. The first new story to hit theaters is actually a prequel about the formation (or at least its early days) of the group after WWI. While prequels don’t have the best reputation, this is a smart move. It keeps the story alive, but puts enough difference between it and The Golden Circle that fans will have time to forgive and forget.
Also, the fact that it has a monster cast with Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, with Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance does not hurt.
The King’s Man hits theaters in February of 2020.
