The Rocketeer is coming back to Live-Action on Disney+. In a new report from Deadline, it has been revealed that the film is being produced by David and Jessica Oyelowo under their Yoruba Saxon banner and that the Selma star may be the one who straps on the jet pack.
Currently titled The Return of The Rocketeer, the new film will focus on a retired Tuskeegee Airman who picks up the mantle of the original Rocketeer, who was played by Billy Campbell in the 1991 film from Joe Johnston. There is currently no word on plot details for the new film or whether Campbell will be back to personally pass the torch off to Oyelowo.
