We’ve been hearing news of this Walking Dead spin-off for a while now. It’s a show that tells the story of teens who grow up in safety but then strike out on their own to experience the world, post-apocalypse. It sounds like the Walking Dead’s answer to a YA novel and the new teaser that was released today kind of gives off the same vibe. It’s a smart move on the part of AMC to start expanding the reach of the franchise towards a younger audience, but I don’t know if they realize the younger people are already watching the grown-up versions of the shows. Now, only time will see if this is a worthwhile spin-off of The Walking Dead, or just Walker Babies.
The new series stars Alexa Mansour (Madame Secretary), Nicolas Cantu (The Good Place), Hal Cumpston (Bilched), Annet Mahendru (The Americans), and Aliyah Royale (Major Crimes).
