In 2018, the world was on edge as we all waited for news of twelve children and their soccer coach who were trapped in a flooded cave in Thailand. The story got so big that it even resulted in a lawsuit against Elon Musk when he offered to help and somehow ended up accusing one of the leaders of the rescue team of being a pedophile. Now the entire ordeal has been turned into a film for Prime Video by director Ron Howard and starring Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, and Joel Edgerton.

The film is set to hit Amazon Prime on August 5th after a limited theatrical release on July 29th. Given the billionaire dick-measuring contest between Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, it’s honestly surprising that the latter’s role isn’t part of the film.

In the true story of Thirteen Lives, twelve boys and the coach of a Thai soccer team explore the Tham Luang cave when an unexpected rainstorm traps them in a chamber inside the mountain. Entombed behind a maze of flooded cave tunnels, they face impossible odds. A team of world-class divers navigate through miles of dangerous cave networks to discover that finding the boys is only the beginning.
