For a lot of fans, Tim Burton’s recent work hasn’t quite lived up to his amazing past creations. In fact, it feels like something went horribly wrong during Planet of the Apes and he’s just never fully recovered. While still filled with the creative and original styles that he “borrowed” from the 1930’s German surrealistic movement. Now, Burton is looking to the film that helped create his name to bring him back to glory. That’s right, if you didn’t already know, Tim Burton is Turning his classic short film, “Frankenweenie” into a full length movie.
According to THR, he’s doing more than just looking to his past for ideas. He’s turned the cast of the film into a literal all star team of past Burton hits.
Voicing the movie will be: Winona Ryder, who starred in his classic’s “Edward Scissorhands” and “Bettlejuice”; Martin Landau, who took home an Oscar for his role of Bela Lugosi in “Ed Wood”; “Mars Attacks!” star Martin Short and “Beetlejuice” and “A Nightmare Before Christmas'” Catherine O’Hara.
