The first episode of the DC Universe series Doom Patrol was one of the most pleasantly surprising series premiers that I’ve seen in a while. I was worried that the show would feel a little too much like Greg Berlanti’s other DC outcast team, The DC Legends of tomorrow, but there was no Arrowverse feel here to be found. Instead, there was a great cast in a very weird situation and a story that made me mad I couldn’t binge-watch the show.
Still, there was one thing missing from the show when I finished the first episode. I’m talking about series regular Jovian Wade, who is playing the small screen version of DC hero, Cyborg. It looks like that little problem will be taken care of this week when Wade makes his first appearance in the episode titled Donkey Patrol.
He joins a cast that includes April Bowlby, Matt Bomer, Brendan Fraser, Diane Guerrero, and Alan Tudyk.
Episode 2: “Donkey Patrol”
Following Mr. Nobody’s capture of Niles Caulder and the destruction of Cloverton, Ohio; The Doom Patrol investigate the mysterious albino donkey and discover it is a door to another universe, one where Mr. Nobody is in control. Cyborg aka Vic Stone (series star JOIVAN WADE), a part man/part machine hero from Detroit who has his own complicated relationship with Niles Caulder, joins the search.
