Yesterday, we reported that sources all over were claiming Demi Lovato had joined the cast of Marvel’s Avengers film. Well, now we have an update and it sounds like those rumors were just rumors after all.
When asked about the rumors, her spokesperson said that they were “nothing.”
One big reason the rumors really don’t make any sense at all is that the film begins shooting shortly and she is currently in treatment for “emotional and physical issues.”
We don’t have anything against Lovato. but we take this news with a sigh of relief. She is pretty talented and has a great future ahead of her but there really just aren’t any roles in this movie that make any sense for her. It would be brilliant for Marvel/Disney to use her to cross promote between the network and film division, but this just isn’t the vehicle for it.
