‘Walking Dead’ Spin-Off Casts Lead, Lands Kong: Skull Island Director For Pilot

The New Walking Dead Spin-Off, aka Walking Dead The New Class just made a big addition to the cast in the form of Younger Star, Nico Tortorella. Nico will be joining the show as one of the main leads. Deadline is describing Nico’s character as “an honorable man of his word who isn’t afraid to fight for others’ safety and acceptance.”

The new series will focus on a younger group of survivors than we’ve gotten used to in either The Walking Dead or Fear The Walking Dead. In the new show, we’ll “focus on the first generation to come of age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever.”

In other Walking Dead Spin-Off news, Deadline is also reporting that Kong: Skull Island director, Jordan Vogt-Roberts has not only signed on to direct the pilot episode, but may also direct additional episodes of the new series.
