‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ Gets The Boot

The sequel to Oliver Stone’s 1987 critically acclaimed “Wall Street” is getting the boot, and has officially been delayed from April 23 to September 24.

This marks the second bump its had with it originally being moved from February to April. This is probably a smart movie, considering April marks the end of the “dry spell” and kicks off of big summer blockbusters such as “Iron Man 2” which would surely no doubt obliterate “Wall Street.”

As Collider points out, the Toronto Film Festival kicks off the awards season in early September, so “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” will, in all likelihood, fare better in the Fall.

Directed by Oliver Stone, “Money Never Sleeps” stars Michael Douglas reprising his original role as Gordon Gekko, and Shia Lebouf (Transformers) as his new apprentice of greed.
