Jeremy Renner is on a major hot streak right now. He kicked ass in MI:5 and then again as Hawkeye in The Avengers. Next up, he makes his way into his third franchise deal in just over a year with this summer’s release of The Bourne Legacy. If he works everything right, he is one his way to becoming a legend in action film. The great thing is he can act as well. If you haven’t seen it, check out The Town.

It was big news when they announced that Renner would be taking over for Matt Damon in the Bourne series. At first the rumors were that we were up for a reboot, but it quickly became clear that Bourne Legacy would actually be a sequel. Now that the movie is close to release, there is already talk of the next chapter in the saga and it looks like Jeremy Renner might be getting a visit from a former Jason Borne.

Producer Frank Marshall has already said that it is his dream to have Renner and Damon appear in a Bourne film together.

Here’s what he had to say about it and how Renner’s character is different than Matt Damon’s

“He’s coming from a completely different background to Jason [Bourne]. He knows exactly who he is; he signed up to this…He wants to be part of a team. I can tell you he was in the military then he joined the programme. He’s a person who wants to be part of something… to have a sense of purpose. But then it’s taken away.”

“You see there are several different programmes in the movie with different skill sets. All possibilities are open. My dream is that in the next one we see Matt and Jeremy team up.”
