Doctor Who construction sets are nothing new. Underground Toys has been putting out solid sets for a few years now. However, it looks like it’s time for the line to go under a regeneration as it’s just been announced that LEGO would be releasing Doctor Who Themed LEGOs in 2015.
The new toys were the brainchild of Whovian, Andrew Clark, who submitted his ideas to LEGO ideas and got the 10,000 votes needed for the block company to consider taking it to market.
Here’s what Emma Owen, UK spokesperson for LEGO Ideas had to say:
“We’re extremely excited to announce that a Doctor Who and a WALL-E set will be released as our next LEGO Ideas fan based sets, congratulations to the designers Andrew Clark and Angus MacLane! After receiving over 10,000 votes from the online community and having gone through rigorous toy testing from our expert panel, these awesome sets are on track to be on shelves later this year. The final set designs, pricing and availability are being worked out as we speak, so watch this space for the final details!”
