Every year Comic Con has a few hidden gems in the world of exclusives, especially when it comes to vinyl toys. One of my favorites this year (along side with the Andrew Bell stuff that I always drool over) is the new GID NEKOMITAINA From Mari Inukai. I was lucky enough to get one of her exclusives last year and it it really cool. Along with the great design, it has something that you just can’t understand from the image. These are not just hollow or even solid vinyl toys. They are filled with Silicone and have a floating heart embedded in their chest.
Also, while supplies last, they will be giving away a free signed 8X10 print from Mari Inukai.
If you want to meet Mari (she is super nice) she’ll be doing a signing on Sunday, July 15th from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Giant Robot Booth, #1729. That is also where you can pick up her toy.
