We have been pretty careful not to post or even watch a lot of the footage that’s been coming out over the last few weeks in the lead up to the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker next week. With that said, Rey’s Darksaber was in one of the first trailers and was such a big deal that it became a meme on its own. So, we don’t feel like we’re spoiling anything at this point by showing the amazing new prop replica of the darksaber from Chronicle.
Officially called the Dark Side Rey Lightsaber, we still think that the weapon is a MacGuffin and will most likely be part of a force vision or a bad dream, but we can’t deny that it is cool as hell. It is also expensive as hell. You can pre-order the darksaber from Chronicle right now, but it will set you back $1599.99. On the upside, it will be shipping in Q1 of 2020, so you won’t be waiting two years like you will be for most Hot Toys figures from the film.
In the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer that premiered at D23, there was a very “interesting” scene of Rey with a red lightsaber! This, of course, set fandom abuzz of what this could possibly mean! Has Rey been seduced by the Dark Side?
EFX Collectibles is proud to offer the Limited Edition prop replica of the “Dark Side” Rey Lightsaber from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker! It is machined out of solid aluminum with all metal details pieces. This replica is based on a detailed study of the actual prop and reference materials supplied by the Lucasfilm production team. This lightsaber is screen accurate not only in the geometry, but down to the detailed weathering, as well. Also, the hinge mechanism is the same one that was used in the actual prop.
