Fans of Studio Ghibli, know that Kiki’s Delivery Service is a classic that’s on par with most Disney animated features. Now, the people of Japan are going to get a chance to take her home in a way that’s never been offered before. Next week, at the Tokyo Toy Show, Takara Tomy, is unveiling a beautiful new doll, based on the character.
the 8.7 inch figure comes in her traditional black dress, with the signature bow on her head. She also comes with flying broomstick, red radio, large over-the-shoulder satchel, and her faithful feline companion, Jiji.
Sadly, it looks like Takara is only taking orders on the collectible domestically, so you can expect to pay big bucks when it hits the secondary and import market. Meanwhile, if you happen to be in Japan, it will eventually be available for purchase (US$99.34), inside Tokyo’s Ghibli Museum.
