It gets hot in India, seriously hot. Add to that the fact that many people live in tin roofed homes that amplify the heat of the sun like an oven, Indians are almost always looking for way to keep cool. One man has come up with a simple solution that actually puts garbage to use and lowers temperatures by almost ten degrees, all without the any electricity.
The Eco Cooler looks so simple that it’s amazing no one has come up with it yet. It is literally just a bunch of old soda bottles cut in half and then pushed through a board. You mount the contraption against an open window and that’s it. As the air blows by, it’s funneled through the bottle tops and in to the homes with just enough force to take the temp down from sweltering to mildly uncomfortable.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
