There’s been a lot of scuttlebutt on the net over the last couple days about the pictures that we’ve posted for you below. They are CGI renderings of Nick Frost and Simon Pegg’s characters from each of the three films that make up Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End.
the rumor is that these are designs for figures created by EvilCorp, a digital arts company. The designs have a definite Aardman animation type feel and I’d love to have them on my shelves, but right now, it’s looking like this is more rumor than reality.
There is currently no word that these are anything more than a loving tribute to a great set of movies. That said, if they could partner up with Mondo’s new toy division, or even just hit up Indiegogo, I bet they could make these figures a reality.
