We love McFarlane Toys, but something has been off with their likeness sculpts lately. As excited as we were to see toys for The Princess Bride, Fezzik just looked really off. Now we’re getting the first look and pre-order for new figures from the Netflix Witchers series and we’re seeing the same issue with both the Geralt and Jaskier figures. Kikimora looks amazing, but McFarlane has always excelled with monsters. The figures aren’t bad, but unless you are a real die-hard fan, it’s going to be a pass for a lot of collectors. I know it sounds like we’re being hard on McFarlane here, but it’s not even like they don’t know how to sculpt Henry Cavill. They’ve done multiple Superman figures with his face. This guy looks like Cavill, after 18 months of not working out and doing nothing but playing Warcraft.
