If you are ever up late and looking for a good laugh before you fall asleep, there’s really nothing better than the missed connections section on Craigslist. The sheer ridiculousness of the postings are guaranteed to give you a laugh or at least make you shake your head at the fate of mankind.
Here’s an example. This is one of the most recent entries on Orlando’s Craigslist Missed Connections:
Canadian Popcorn Gal at Epcot – m4w (Canada (sort of))
I saw you working the popcorn stand at the Canadian Pavilion at Epcot the other night, you all smiles, working your ass off, pretty as a peach, I’m sorry not very many people come to see you at the Canadian Pavilion, maybe Martin Short and a 25 year old video has something to do with it. Yet it’s really spectacular back there if people would just stop and look.
You make flannel look hot, and I wouldn’t even care if you came home smelling like popcorn every night, although I am sure you no longer enjoy it.
Anyways, last night Jimmy Kimmel decided to give these posts a little extra attention… with the help of Alison Brie and a saxophone. Check it out:
The “missed connections” section on Craigslist is filled with messages from people who met or saw someone they were attracted to, but for whatever reason didn’t get their contact info. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we thought we could shine a light on some of these missed connections with the help of the lovely Alison Brie.
