If you’ve ever been unemployed for an extended period, you know that you get less and less productive as time goes on. Now the New York Times has done a survey to find out how unemployed people spend their day, and what the difference is between men and women without jobs.

Unsurprisingly, it turns out that women without jobs devote more time to cleaning and caring for others while men spend more time looking for new work than women do. This has a lot to do with the cost of childcare and not being able to afford it while being unemployed.
