Wow, talk about taking cross town baseball rivalries a bit too far.
Nathan Johns, a fourth-grader in the Syracuse suburbs was asked to turn his Yankees T-shirt inside out by his teacher at Van Buren Elementary School. According to Johns, he was asked to go to the bathroom and reverse his shirt. He complied and said he was later told to wear it that way until school let out.
Johns says he thought his teacher, Peter Addabbo, was kidding at first but then realized he wasn’t because Addabbo has Boston Red Sox paraphernalia all over the classroom on display.
Baldwinsville Schools Superintendent Jeanne Dangle says the district is investigating and will get back to the family in a few days.
