Before strangled his 10-year-old brother, Andrew Conley had told his now ex-girlfriend that he wanted to be like the TV serial killer “Dexter.”
Alexis Murafski testified Tuesday during the fifth day of the 18-year-old’s sentencing hearing in the small Ohio River town of Rising Sun, Indiana.
Earlier Tuesday, Conley read a prepared statement in which he said he was sorry for killing his brother and didn’t understand why he did so.
Prosecutors have since played jail surveillance video in which Conley discussed a new episode of the Showtime series “Dexter” with a visitor a few weeks after Conner Conley’s November death.
The hearing is expected to end Tuesday, with the judge ruling on a sentence within a few weeks.
