The Cube is concept is not particularly new, and if it’s new to you then you have to check out this tour of the new eco-friendly 3x3x3m house designed for one. I honestly think the tree house I had as a kid had more square feet than this.
According to the commentary, one individually should ideally be able to live comfortably in this building that has two floors, heating, kitchen, washing machine, full size shower, and bed. Each room tops out at two meters high, which roughly makes housing for Hobbits appear like luxurious mansions.
While I am not particularly claustrophobic and wouldn’t mind living in The Cube for a week. I can’t for the life of me however imagine anyone wanting to really live in one permanently, except maybe unless they’re homeless or college students, or both.
