In a world where nearly all art is seemingly created on a computer, it is amazing to see that there are still people like Jed Henry around. When he wanted to created stylized images of his favorite video game characters, he didn’t turn to photoshop. Instead, he turned to Ukyio-e, the traditional Japanese art of hand carved woodblock printing.
The result is a series of stunning portraits that bring an feudal Japanese feel to Mario, Pokemon, Megaman, Kirby, Starfox, Metroid, Zelda, and Street Fighter.
