Who remembers those horribly scripted Hostess comic book ads from the late-70s where earth’s mightiest heroes sold out for the all might dollar and hocked questionably nutritious snack cakes to little kids?
It’s almost kind of a shame that Marvel and DC have stopped partnering up with Hostess, as they were some of the best if not most memorable and shameful ads that plagued comics during the 70s and 80s. While there were plenty of ads featuring Spider-Man, Iron Man, Superman and even Wonder Women, there were never any ads featuring characters outside the Marvel and DC universe.
