Watching the latest clip from the upcoming Wolverine sequel, Logan, I can’t help but feel a few different things: 1. like I’m watching a film school project, 2. like this movie could be a spiritual sequel to Taxi Driver, and 3. just really freakin depressed.
In the clip, which is just called “Sunseeker,” we get a glimpse into what Logan’s life has become. He’s not an X-Man anymore. He’s a tired, mildly disgruntled limo driver who just wants to find a boat and get away from it all. I’ve got a feeling that won’t be happening any time soon.
n the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
