Detroit isn’t just the economic joke of the nation anymore. It is quickly becoming one of the hottest locations for Hollywood to make movies. It started with Red Dawn, and then Transformers 4. Now, WB is announcing that they cut a deal with The Michigan Film Office worth $35 million in tax incentives to film the Man of Steel Sequel in what is left of the motor city. They will be using the city as the backdrop for both Metropolis and Gotham.

The state is estimating that the film will create 426 full-time jobs, $5.1 million in hotel revenue and that 500 local vendors will be used for the film.
