Of all the Marvel movies, the Thor films have been the least interesting to me so far. That said, I’ve been pretty excited based on everything I’ve been hearing for the latest chapter, Thor: Ragnarok. I think I can say, just based on the trailer, that this is already my favorite Thor film. You can definitely feel the impact of Guardians of The Galaxy here, especially when it comes to tone and humor.

I’m not sure where to start here, so I’m not going to say much and I’m going to let the teaser speak for itself. I will say that Cate Blanchett looks insane as Hela. I’ll also say this is one of the first times I’ve aver cheered out loud at a movie trailer.

Thor: Ragnarok stars: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins. Taika Waititi directs from a script by Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost and Stephany Folsom and Eric Pearson.

Unfortunately, it does not come out in theaters until November 3rd.

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk! “Thor: Ragnarok” thunders into U.S. theaters on November 3, 2017.
