We’re still a little torn on the idea of the upcoming Disney+ Lego Star Wars Holiday Special. To us, it just sounds like an attempt to whitewash the wonderfully awful Star Wars Holiday special from the minds of fans. However, we get that there are a lot of kids out there who love Star Wars LEGOs.
Today, Disney+ announced several Live Action Star Wars actors who will now be lending their voices to the new special. Adding to a previously announced cast that includes Matt Lanter (The Clone Wars Anakin), Tom Kane (Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Dee Bradley Baker (clone troopers), the special will also feature Kelly Marie Tran reprising her role as Rose Tico, Anthony Daniels coming back for possibly the last time as C-3P0, and Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian.
While it is possible we could see voices like Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, or Adam Driver find their way on to the list, we wouldn’t hold our breath on John Boyega or Oscar Isaac coming back anytime soon.
We just know that if they can’t find a way to fit in Starship, Bea Arthur, or Art Carney, we are going to be very disappointed.
