I don’t really know how to describe the artwork of Ecuadorian artist, Yemma Yemma. I don’t know if it’s minimalist enough to be categorized as such. I just know that it’s weird, and that I think it looks cool enough to show it to you all. We’ve had the odd piece here and there in previous posts of pop culture art shows, but it’s time to give her some space of her own to shine through.
I can’t say for sure why so many of her illustrations feature people who are sweating and have their tongues hanging out. Honestly, they also sort of have a bit of a zombie vibe to them. Still, I think they are awesome. Check out these pics she’s done of Hellboy, Adventure Time’s Ice King, Link, Samus Aran, Mario, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s Raphael.
