Director Bryce Dallas Howard proved her Star Wars chops on several episodes of The Mandalorian when she wasn’t running from dinosaurs with Chris Pratt in the Jurassic World franchise. With Obi-Wan Kenobi set to bow on Disney+ next month, Howard has made some new comments about the upcoming Star Wars series based on Ahsoka Tano.
In a new interview with Romper, she had this to say:
“So, Dave Filoni, he knows Star Wars better than anyone other than George [Lucas], and he was taught by George when he was doing all of the Clone Wars because they did that together. And we worked together on Mandalorian. Without giving anything away, you are going to love the Ahsoka show that’s coming up. I cannot tell you anything, but what I can say is that you being a fan of the Clone Wars will be greatly rewarded.”
There has been no official word on whether Howard is actually slated to direct any episodes of the new series, but with inclusion initiatives at Disney, it seems likely that the series will probably directed entirely by female directors, Dave Filoni, and Jon Favreau.
