DiCaprio’s Appian Way has picked a new old film to take to the remake factory. He seems to have run out of anime and is now tackling children’s classics instead. Details on the remake of Neverending story are Sketchy, but here’s what we know:
According to the trades, the remake will will “examine the more nuanced details of the book that were glossed over in the first pic.”
I’m not sure what that means but it sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
I grew up with and still love the old movie, but I also love the book and am curious to see how things will be done the second time around. Cautiously optimistic. All I can say is they better not make me cry.
