As much as I love the Muppets, I’ll be one of the first people to admit that somewhere between the announcement of the latest Muppet TV show and the show’s premier, it went off the rails in a big way. It went from being a reboot of the classic Muppet Show with some added behind the scenes action to a show centered around Miss Piggy, with too much focus on behind the scenes action and not enough of the Muppet sketch style comedy that fans showed up for.

The good news is that the Muppets aren’t done yet. THR is reporting that Disney’s new streaming service will include a new reboot of Jim Henson’s creations. We don’t know any details about the new series, but we have to hope that they learned some lessons from the last series and film and have learned that it is possible to embrace more of what made the Muppets magical in the first place, without losing new viewers.

When the show does hit, it will join a growing slate of Disney programming that includes TV shows based on Monsters, Inc., a reboot of High School Musical, a new adaptation of The Mighty Ducks, and at least one new live-action Star Wars TV series
