The Dune reboot from Blade Runner 2049 director, Denis Villeneuve is picking up steam with two major cast negotiations. Spider-Man Homecoming/ Far From Home star Zendaya and Star Wars star Oscar Isaac are currently both in talks to join the film. Zendaya is in talks to play Timothée Chalamet‘s love interest Chani, while Isaac is negotiating for the role of Duke Leto Atreides
If the deals come through, they’ll be joining a star-studded cast that already includes Timothée Chalamet Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Harkonnen, Dave Bautista as Glossu ‘Beast’ Rabban and Charlotte Rampling as the Reverend Mother Mohiam.
The film is being produced off a script that was co-written by Villeneuve, Eric Roth (Forrest Gump), and Jon Spaihts (Prometheus).
We’ll let you know if the deals get done, in the meantime you’ll be able to see Zendaya when she reprises her role of MJ in this summer’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and you can catch Oscar Isaac when he helps close out the third Star Wars trilogy when Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters this December.
