If you are jonesing for another hit of Toy Story, you’ll have two chances this year. First you get the Hawaiian Vacation short that will air right before ‘Cars 2’ on June 24th. Then, you’ll get a whole other Toy Story short along with ‘The Muppets’ on November 23.
We know that the first short will involve some sort of Hawaiian vacation story where the toys get left behind and imagine their way into a whole new adventure. Here’s what Gary Rydstrom, the short’s director has to say about it and then below are the first two images released by Pixar.
“Woody becomes kind of like what’s-his-name on ‘Love Boat’…Captain Stubing! As toys who get played with all the time, they have a pretty good imagination, when it’s time for a little playacting, they’re good at it.”
