Gilmore Girls was a great show, and I’ve been really excited to hear that it would be returning to Netflix for a 4 mini movie series. Today, the streaming network gave fans their first look at the upcoming event, and it looks and feels like not much has changed in Stars hollow… and that isn’t a bad thing at all.
The show will hit Netflix on November 25th, when everyone needs a good distraction to nurse their wounds from the madness we are collectively experiencing.
Along with the return of Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as Lorelai and Rory, the vast majority of the original cast will also be taking part, save for Edward Herrmann, who unfortunately passed away in 2014. Still, you can expect to see Melissa McCarthy (Sookie), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Keiko Agena (Lane), Scott Patterson (Luke), and all of Rory’s boyfriends, including Jared Padalecki’s Dean, Milo Ventimiglia’s Jess, and Matt Czuchry’s Logan.
Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life includes four 90-minute chapters, each spanning one of the four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who executive produces, writes and directs the four 90-minute chapters with Daniel Palladino. The project is from Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
