While society has unplugged from human contact over the last six months, one thing we haven’t done is unplug from our devices. We’re addicted. In Save Yourselves, one hipster couple from New York decided to unplug and go away for the weekend. They just had no idea that this weekend was the one where aliens invaded earth.

This looks like it could be a lot of fun. The Bleeker Street film stars Sunita Mani (GLOW) and John Reynolds (Search Party), who both seem to bring a lot of energy to the film. When it was first screened at Sundance Save Yourselves garnered a of attention for both the fun premise and the humor of the film. We can’t wait to see it when Save Yourselves! hits theaters on October 2nd and digital on October 6th.

Jack (John Reynolds) and Su (Sunita Mani) are a hip Brooklyn couple who, like many of their friends, find themselves dependent on technology and unable to put down their phones. Fearing their mindless scrolling may impact their connection with each other, they seize the chance to head to an isolated cabin in the woods, vowing to unplug from the outside world for a week. Sheltered from texts and push notifications, they are blissfully unaware that the planet is under attack. As strange events unfold, the couple must figure out a way back to civilization—or what’s left of it.
