After the let down that was the finale of Game of Thrones, there have been many people questioning whether we need more stories from Westeros, or if the property should just fade into the wilderness until the sun burns out and George R.R. Martin finally writes the last book. But, as it was reported in the trades earlier this week, there’s a Jon Snow series coming to HBO Max that will follow Kit Harrington’s character after the events of the series.

In a recent post on his blog… called Not A Blog, the creator confirmed that the series was in development and that it had the working title, “Snow.” He also went on to say that the show had been in development for a few years already and that the idea came from Harrington Himself.

“I was Kit Harrington who brought the idea to us.,” I cannot tell you the names of the writers/showrunners, since that has not been cleared for release yet, but Kit brought them in too, his own team, and they are terrific.”

“Kit’s team have visited me here in Santa Fe and worked with me and my own team of brilliant, talented writer/consultants to hammer out the show. All four of these successor shows are still in the script stage.  Outlines and treatments have been written and approved, scripts have been written, notes have been given, second and third drafts have been written. So far, that’s all.”

Meanwhile, over at the MCU, fans are waiting to see if we’ll ever actually get to see Harrington as The Black Knight, or if that story thread was buried under the box office failure of The Eternals.
