It was recently revealed in an interview with Digital Spy that Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia, The Clash of the Titans) is currently in talks with Ridley Scott about possibly starring in the upcoming “Alien” prequels.

Scott has been so impressed by Arterton’s performance in J. Blakeson’s “The Disappearance of Alice Creed,” that he wanted to meet with her to discuss the possibility of her starring as the main female role in his new Alien film.

The plan currently for Scott is to shoot two new Alien prequels back-to-back. The story will take place 30 years before the original 1979 film. Although I have not seen Arterton in “The Disappearance of Alice Credd,” I believe Arterton makes for a great action/adventure star. In fact, she has been one of the new up and coming actresses that I’ve been quite fond of. I’m not sure how much I’ll like her in an Aliens film, but if Scott’s been wooing her for the lead, who am I too argue.
