Natalie Portman revealed to MTV this weekend that the sultry Kat Dennings (“Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist”) will be joining the cast of Marvel Studios’ “Thor” director by Kenneth Branagh.
Like the blob, the cast list for “Thor” continues to swell as Dennings will now also be on board, joing the already-cast Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, Stuart Townsend, Jaimie Alexander, and Idris Elba.
It’s uncertain what role Dennings will be playing in this epic, however, but rumors have been buzzing that she will show up as an assistant to Portman’s character, Jane Foster.
The Marvel Studios adaptation will be released in theaters by Paramount Pictures on May 20, 2011.
UPDATE: Kat Dennings will play Darcy, who works with Natalie Portman’s character, Jane Foster.
